Poughkeepsie is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Poughkeepsie is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I started my journey at The Wheel House in September 2022; I immediately loved the vibe and the instructors were amazing. However, I was not consistent and made every excuse to NOT go to class. I did not take my fitness journey seriously until February 2023. I have been consistently going (or at least trying!) 5 days a week. The classes are intense yet motivating. I never realized how out of shape I was until I started taking classes that involved weights and core workouts. All the instructors are encouraging and inspiring, which makes me want to come back to class each day! Even if you don't know how to properly do a move, the instructor will show you without being demeaning. Although I have ways to go in my fitness journey, each day I am getting physically and mentally stronger and I have The Wheel House to thank for that. Michelle is an awesome business owner and knows how to keep her clients engaged. I look forward to many more classes at The Wheel House!

The owner Michelle is so welcoming and makes you feel right at home! All the instructors are amazing and friendly! The workouts are challenging, leaving you exhausted and sore, but wanting more! I have yet to find another boutique studio that offers so much and makes me feel like Iβm part of a team. If you are new to the House, make sure you try each class offered to get the full experience!

I've taken almost every class offered at The Wheel House and not only is it an amazing workout, mind , body, and soul. But the staff is wonderful. I've enjoyed all of the instructors as well as the facility, and it gives you the fitness family vibe that is rare and helps motivate you to keep coming back. Support from the rest of the class members as well as the comedic relief from the instructors throughout the challenging workouts makes the classes fly by. I highly recommend The Wheel House to anyone looking for an amazing workout.
